According MedicalNewsToday, on Thursday (1/12/2011) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends to provide fruit and vegetable intake as follows:
- Teenage girls who frequently perform physical exercise less than 30 minutes per day should eat about 1.5 cups of fruit and 2.5 cups of vegetables.
- Teenage males who frequently perform physical exercise less than 30 minutes per day should eat about 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables.
- Teens who frequently perform physical exercise more than 30 minutes a day, it is recommended to consume fruits and vegetables in a higher number.
Here are some of the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables in the daily:
- Fruits and vegetables with high fiber content can help control blood glucose levels, reduce cholesterol, and are able to reduce the risk of colon cancer and other cancers, in which fruits and vegetables is one of the natural anti-oxidant.

- In fruits and vegetables contain many vitamins and minerals essential for health and prevention of various diseases.
